No sound from computer because speakers not connected to sound card
Cause:
There is no sound coming from the computer because the speakers are not connected to the sound card.
Solution:
Connect the speakers to the sound card.
1) Locate the sound card speaker jack on the computer.
NOTE: The sound card may have several different options that may make it confusing to locate. The speaker jack generally looks similar to a headphone jack and may have a symbol over it that looks like sound waves coming from a half-circle. If the computer has a modem, the speaker jack may be part of the sound card.
2) If the power to the speakers is on, turn it off and carefully plug the speaker cable into the sound card speaker jack.
3) Verify that the speaker cable is plugged into the speakers and turn the power to the speakers on.
